RAM
The score for the ram suggests how information it can hold at one current time. The pc that was tested received an average score for the ram as it only has 6b
•The RAM on this computer could simply be improved my adding more ram. They should add two 8gb rams which would equal 16 gb. Doing this would be effective as it could run more progamss at a time.
CPU
•The score tells us how fast the processor is and how many calculations it can solve. In the case of this computer, it has a very powerful processor, as it scored 796 overall.
•The processor score doesn’t really need to be upgraded however could be done by over clocking the computer or even by installing a more powerful processor if the computer was improved it would just have an all around better speed.
GPU
•The score for the gpu shows how powerful the gpu is and as you can see from the nova bench it received a fairly high score this means the GPU is very high quality.
•To improve the GPU you could consider adding better gpu’s such as the nvidia gtx 690s which will improve the graphics performance as these are basically the highest quality graphics cards on the market and deliver extremely graphics performance.

Processor
For the processor I would choose
the Intel Xeon because it has a very high speed and it is well known for its efficient
energy rates. It is also a very good option as it is available at only 400 pound;
this is a very efficient price for a processor of this quality. A limitation of
this processor is that at the moment it is a top of the range processor and
will eventually go out of date and as time passes better products will come
out.
Graphics card
The graphics card I would chose would
be the evga gtx 650, I would select this because it has a very good reputation
for being durable and processing top of the range graphics. It will also allow dual
and triple monitors to be used which will increase productivity. It is also
available at a fairly low cost of 67 pounds which is very reasonable
considerate of its performance. A limitation of this is may not be able to meet
demands of extremely graphical demanding programs.
Motherboard
The motherboard I will choose is
the asus rampage IV extreme. This will benefit me as it includes usb 3.0 this
will be necessarily as it allows files to be transferred much quicker than the
old usb 2.0
Power supply
I will choose an 800w power
supply ez cool asa this will be a good option as I may need more power if I choose
to upgrade in the future, also it is available at a small price of 41 pounds.
Cooling option
I would choose to water cool my
computer and the system I would select is the xspc ray storm water cooling kit.
This will be all I need to keep the pc at a reasonable temperature. And it will
be a lot less quitter and have a lot higher efficacy than having fans. Another benefit
is that it comes with a control panel which allows you to control the
temperature of the computer.
Ram
I would choose to have 16 gb of
ram, I would choose 2 x 8 gb which would total at 89 pounds.
SSD
For the ssd I would choose a
480gb ssd which would cost 200 pounds
Monitor
For the monitor I would choose
the a 27 inch Samsung display which would cost 180 pounds
Operating system
Windows seven
Total cost = 1800
Mac
·
3.2GHz Quad-core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to
3.6GHz
·
·
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
·
·
1TB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200 rpm
·
·
NVIDIA GeForce
·
·
GTX 675MX 1GB GDDR5
Total cost £1,699.00
I would overall choose the pc because for an only
extra 100 pound, it provides a lot better performance and will be able to be upgrading
a huge amount more than the mac. I also believe there is more useful software
on the windows software than osx
