Communication and Barriers
For example when talking to a science teacher you would use scientific terminology because it allows you to communicate with people more effectively within their genre of professionalism. Modulating your voice; when I want to communicate to my friends I use a certain tone that I wouldn't use when talking to my parents.
For example when giving a presentation you wouldn't quote your presentation word for word. Again in a presentation to help get your point across you would use body language.
If you're writing a report it is allot easier to understand if the grammar is correct and makes it look more professorial.
For example if there was a conversation between a doctor and a patient if the doctor was shy or was really aggressive then the patient may get the wrong idea about there problem and think its allot worse than it actually is.
If you are working in an office and your partner is in another room then you may not be able to communicate as well the methods in which you can use to communicate are reduced down to phoning, texting, or emailing. this way you can not use body language to fully communicate and the recipient will not fully understand you.
when you want to speak to someone that speaks a different language it it useful to have a translator they can reduce the impact of the barriers by translating there words into your language so you can understand what there saying.
Open work spaces; for example in a office if the rooms are not blocked by walls and are open spaces colleagues can communicate more effectively by talking out loud to one an other
